In August 2024, we traveled to Kampala with our family to volunteer with Connect Africa Vocational School.

While we were staying at the school, we asked the students if they would be interested in having a basketball net. Over a few days, they measured, designed, constructed a backboard, cut metal, welded and hung a handmade hoop. We also gave balls and pumps so that the students can play and practice anytime they want. 

​

We also did a major fundraiser to raise money for the great work that Connect Africa does! We raised over $3200- these funds will go toward scholarships for kids and materials for their vocational programs.
